However Many Things I Could Think of that You May or May Not Have Known About thePuddingStore

Ever had a sneaking suspicion that maybe you’re not being told the WHOLE story of thePS? Well, for one, you’re an overly paranoid person and you should get treatment. Secondly, you can put those feelings aside, because here, for the first time, is a list of stuff that… (see title above)

1. There actually are 7 admins for thePS, though only 3 of them seem to post regularly.

2. “All Things Yellow” actually comes from a David Letterman sketch. Claims he had a radio show with that as the title, and it consisted of him saying, “Banana. Lemons… lemonade…” and that was it. He came up with it, thePS made it great.

3. There is are actually at least 3 sections that can no longer be found on thePS (one got lost and the others never got very far). They are: the 1st anniversary show, the Star Wars forum, and music reviews.

4. Despite the name that he was the logo for the entire existence of thePS, Pete the pirate of pudding wasn’t given a name until well into the 3rd year.

5. Also, on that line of though, the Piratehead/pudding cup logo is actually just an altered “web-ding” that stood for “no software pirating”

6. We have gone through 4 separate addresses already. I can only assume there will be more.

7. The original “frames” design of the page was something that me and Mat came up with CRS12 back in grade 11 for a end of the term project.

8. All 7 of the admins hung out in the “dungeon” at RHS together, hence why the admins list is so short.

9. For a brief period in the summer of 2001, Harry Doyle (of CBLocals fame) was actually going to become an admin for thePS - thus a new age of prosperity would have been born. Unfortunately, we decided against it.

10. The lack of the “what’s new” window on the new page is a result of neither me or Mat finding a good spot to put it. Otherwise, it’d still be around.

11. We have gone through about 7 different guest books.

12. For a while, again in the summer of 2001, I “quit” thePS. I came back after about 7 weeks, and I had come back to my senses.

13. I often set my goals for this page too high… 101 things… Jesus - this is going to take forever!

14. PS admins have been located in 5 separate provinces.

15. It has been said of thePS that it is very “80’s/90’s-based stuff.”

16. It has also been said that it’s like “the way CBLocals used to be” which I took as a compliment.

17. All of the splashes for the first year+ were all made off the same picture on window’s paint.

18. Despite our name, we have actually only sold pudding on one occasion. It was for the 1st anniversary show, and it actually did quite well. We needed to get 2 extra shipments. I don’t know why we don’t do that more often…

19. There actually WAS a second anniversary show, but only 5 people showed up, and it was at my house.

20. There have been 3 ideas for spin-offs: ThePuddingBarge.com and thePuddingstove.com and EuroThePuddingStore.com. So far, none of them have come to fruition.

21. Mat has the most pictures in the “Pictures” section. A mind-boggling 23, as he super-vain.

22. Mat is super-vain.

23. ThePS made it’s way into at least 12 news postings on CBLocals.

24. The original page had my font color (blue) as the default, as I made it and I am lazy. On the new page, the default is black (Mat’s font color).

25. There are rumours milling around about adding 8th and 9th admins…

26. The actual “rumours” section was originally created by Mat as a way of throwing wild accusations at me from great distances.

27. In the picture titled, “The Drunkest I’ve Ever Seen Dave,” he is not actually drunk. He’s just lying there, and I covered him with rocks and sand over half an hour or so.

28. I have never even MET the Pope…

29. In the “Meet the Founders” section, Allison’s stats are no longer there, as I accidentally replaced the file (allison.htm) with a file of the same name for the Breakfast Club quiz…

30. The same “frames” concept that was created by me and Mat and was originally used on thePS can now be seen here.

31. For much of the first year, I was the only admin here.

32. Though when he suggested I make others admins too, Mat meant himself, he was the third admin made.

33. Dave MacLeod is the youngest admin.

34. There are actual plans in the works to make thePS profitable! More so!

35. Adrienne, Nat, and Allison all met one another in elementary school. As did me and Dave.

36. Me and Dave met Mat at MacLennan Jr. High.

37. The 6 of us didn’t meet until grade 10 at RHS, in the dungeon.

38. Of the 7 admins, 4 play bass (that I know of - plus, Allison got to play Chris Murphy’s bass once, so I guess that brings it to 5).

39. ThePS has been seen on Much Music! When “Going Coastal” covered Gobblefest lat year, PS regular, Alicia Penney got to request a video - some guy behind her was wearing the “D’Ar” logo shirt. Good enough for me!)

40. Outside of admins, 12+ people have made submissions to thePS (not including guest book)

41. Though I always wanted to make an “articles” section, it was never really made til John wrote his article (the first one in the section).

42. The article “Much Ado About Mallrats” was actually originally written for my English class in my first year in college.

43. James is the tallest admin.

44. In “the Semi-Regular Adventures of Pete the Pirate of Pudding,” the character, Pops, is only called that because there was an empty box of “Pilsbury Pizza Pops” in the garbage can next to me (things that are around me is actually how I name lots of stuff, if ya can believe it).

45. In “Sailor Punk Comix” Mat is consistently drawn with long hair - this is because when I first started the series, he actually did have long hair. However, that hasn’t been the case in like 5 years… I tried drawing him with short hair… It looked stupid.

46. The quizzes, “Which music best suits you?” and “What kind of sandwich do I want right now?” have absolutely no correlating information. Makes ya think - maybe you DON’T like hip-hop and chicken salad! Wild.

47. The site used to contain a spoiler about “Star Trek Nemesis” but it was quickly removed after much controversy.

48. In the “splashes” section, the one labelled, “Jesse’s PS Birthday Splash” is a private joke that only maybe 5 people on earth could ever get. I won’t reveal who those 5 people are, but they know who they are.

49. Technically, as a result of volume emitted by the 1st anniversary show, it is possible that thePS has a “record.”

50. The first public appearance of local band “…and then they fall” was at the 1st anniversary show.

51. There is actually a mention of our original, very out of date address in the pictures section.

52. Other than Allison, all thePS admins have cats (at least I don’t think Allison has one…)

53. In the “Fellowship of Pudding” splash, that’s Clayton as Aragorn. He has no face because I once made a (very short-lived) comic where Clayton was the main character (Gothboy) - none of the characters had faces.

There will be more as I or others come up with them. The goal was to get to 101, so hopefully that will happen before too long.
