the Ditchpigs - Someone to Hate More Than Yourself.
Some pretty technical, really driven, head-bobbing-rock on this CD. It has a really fast pace,
which makes the songs flow really well into one another. The duo-guitars and blend of vocals
just have a really neat sound. The word “neat” isn’t used in enough reviews nowadays.
While the album is kinda short (clocking at just under 35 minutes) it really doesn’t seem that
way when listening to it (you know, in the good way). There’s just so much to each song, that
it’s easy to hear it through a few times without even realizing it’s happened. I like listening to
CDs many times in a row, and this is a good album to do that with. Solid straight through. Plus,
the webpage it takes you to has some nifty (same as “neat” above) things to it. Some highlights
would be: Over ‘til it’s Over, Strychnine, When You Fall, No Hope in Hell.
