A fairly low key album, but enjoyable none the less. LaDeDa doesn't offer the rock of Down at the Khyber or Truthfully, Truthfully, nor the intense introspection of In Need of Medical Attention, but does showcase a comfortable strong songwriting style that is Joel. I found that many of the tracks kind of blended together in sound, a relatively simple style, kind of a middle ground between Khyber and Medical Attention, with tracks like Television Set and Truth be Told standing out stylistically.
It's work like this album and Medical Attenttion that showcase Plaskett's skills as a songwriter. This album is a little more foreward and clear than the depressing joy that is In Need of Medical Attention and is a welcome alternative to a poor mood. LaDeDa will be a welcome addition to any PLaskett collection.
