That's right, another solo release from Ontario born, Halifax scenester Mike O'Neil. I'm not sure I can dislike any album he's worked on. This guy has been such an influence on how I listen to and play music. The Owl is a little different from some of his other material, but is rich in harmony with some interesting rhythm and melody work. His vocals on this album are a bit different than on his other albums and took me a listen or two to get used to, but it fits the songs, which are cleverly and well written.
Like the Peter Elkas review I just posted, this album is fairly laid back, easy listening stuff, for those slow, comfy evenings you just want to sit back and chill through. If you can get it, I suggest doing so.
