Alec K. Redfearn and The Eyesores - The Quiet Room

Weird, weird album. Take a big band of acordian, strings, reeds, brass, percussion, mix in some noise elements (ie alarm clocks and telephones) and add a drop of "descent into madness" and you start to get into what this band sounds like. Though almost everything is an acoustic instrument in the mix, the style that they're played almost lend a synth quality to the recording. The whole thing is a cacophanous wall of noise pulling influences from musical styles that span the globe... I'm really not sure what to make of it; other than I kinda dig it.

Take a listen if you get the chance. You probably won't like it, but it's at least an interesting experience.
